PocketExport 4 is avaiable now!
As you may know,PocketExport is a outlook add in(sometime it's been called add on).So you need to have at least outlook installed on your PC(PocketExport doesn't support MAC).
I tested PocketExport with outlook 2003 / outlook 2007 and outlook 2010(beta),it works from old windows xp to the newest windows 7.PocketExport support windows mobile 5 /windows mobile 6 and windows mobile 6.5 phone
Usually you need to first unzip the file download from www.mobitnt.com and then click the file Setup.exe but if it doesn't work properly ,please uninstall it and install vcredist_x86.exe first,then install PocketExport,Notice in vista you may need to run setup.exe "as administrator". During the installation,there will be no cab file installed on your device,PocketExport will automatically copy a file named PEclient.exe to your device once start with outlook and your phone is connected with PC
PocketExport support both USB connection as well as Blue tooth connection。
if you want to use Blue tooth connection(which is really very convenient),you need to setup
a pair with your PC,please read the following link to learn how to establish a bluetooth connection with your PC.
If your device is not connected with PocketExport,please first disable your firewall and then restart your PC and try again,if this solved your Problem,then you need to add a rule in your firewall to allow PocketExport listening on Port 30000 and 30001.Still doesn't work?try to choose another IP from PocketExport's toolbar--->tools--->network configure.the final solution is to enable advance network in your device.
There are two routings to send sms from Pocket Export,"new" a sms or "reply" a sms,if you want to reply a sms,you need to first choose a item under "window mobile sms",notice Pocket Export only support reply from inbox or sent box .another interesting feature is send sms at the specified time(i call it as "scheduled sms").
PocketExport will automatically sync your call logs to outlook journal.
you can choose to export your sms/call log to xml/csv file .Notice that for compatibility purpose,i use unicode,so if you open the csv file exported by PocketExport with excel,you may found that it displays only one column,to fix this,you only need to convert the csv file form unicode format to UTF8 format,NotePad can do it.
You can get some device information such as battery usage/memory usage,you can also reboot/shutdown your device from outlook.
