PocketExport only support windows mobile 5 and windows mobile 6,so if your devices are based on wm5/wm6, then it should work,what you need to do is change the sync time back and forth in the setting dialog from mobitnt addin's outlook toolbar
Firstly you can disable it by simply uninstalling it,but notice if you uninstalled the outlook add-in,the configurations may lost.
Second way:Here is the steps to disable the PocketExport items in outlook2003,outlook2007 is a little bit different from these steps.
Select "Options..." from the "Tools" menu in Microsoft Outlook. In the Options dialog box, switch to the "Other" tab and click the "Advanced options..." button.
Find the pocketexport add-in and clear the selection. After you click "OK" and close the Options dialogue box. You can enable it in the same way.
Most simple way goes here:just run "DisablePocketExport.bat" from C:\Program Files\MobiTNT\PocketExport3(it may vary on your PC),next time when you want to enable PocketExport again,just run EnablePocketExport.bat.
Firstly,make sure you installed the ActiveSync 4.5 already(on Vista,it's called windows mobile device center(WMDC)).
If it still doesn't appear,try the following instructions:
if you use outlook 2003:
Click "help"-->"About Microsoft Office Outlook" and then click the "Disabled Items...". Find the PocketExport add-in in the list, select it and click "Enable".If this doesn't work:
Open Outlook,choose Tools--->Options, you will get a tab, choose 'other' options from the tab,then choose 'Advanced Options',then 'COM Add-ins',you will now see your registered add-ins list,choose "Mobitnt send sms outlook addin" and press OK.
if you use outlook 2007:
open outlook,choose Tools--->Trust center--->Add-ins,if there is no "Mobitnt send sms outlook addin",choose "Disable Items" on the bottom and the click "go",choose "Mobitnt send sms outlook addin" from the list.
You don't need to :if your new device still running windows mobile 5 or windows mobile 6,you can use our software as before without any problem.
PocketExport sync all your call logs into journal folder,below is a screenshot in outlook2007 to help you find the journal folder
Some windows mobile device made by PALM use their own SMS manage system instead of the default one.So on these devices,PocketExport can't get sms from them.
Some time,if you click chat button after you select a item in sentbox,the chat list (threaded sms) generated by PocketExport may become out of order,if this happens on your side,please delete all the file under C:\Program Files\MobiTNT\PocketExport3\chat and then select the item from inbox and then click chat button.Notice that the path in the text is the default path,on your pc it may vary based on your selection
Pls turn off your windows firewall(or any third part firewall),restart your PC and then start outlook and connect your device to PC,
if this time your device can connect to PocketExport,then turn on your firewall,and make sure uncheck "Don't allow exceptions" in your windows firewall's setting,in the exceptions list,delete the item named something like"microsoft office outlook" and then restart your PC,start outlook again,firewall should ask you,choose unblock.
Notice:if you use other third part firewall,you maybe need to add the port 30000 and 30001 to the firewall's list
If you are running Vista,please right click the file EnablePocketExport.bat in your installation directory,and then choose "run as administrator",if still can't register the add in,please contact us at support@mobitnt.com
Basically,PocketPC will have a touch screen and a stylus,and it's start menu is in the upper-left corner of the screen.
on the other hand,smartphone usually doesn't have touchscreen and it will have a keypad,at the same time,the start menu
is in the lower-left corner of the screen.
Generally there are two kinds of OS for windows mobile device(which is all based on windows CE),
for windows mobile 6,they are Windows Mobile Professional/Classic(for PocketPC) and Windows Mobile Standard(for smartphone)
