Finally i got my windows 7,the UI is really good compared with XP,i especially prefer the transparent effect.
But then i found a problem, there is no “windows mobile device center” installed. This is ok since I can download it from web. For these who only found links like “windows mobile device center for Vista”,y can download app from here:windows device center
I believe the version for VISTA works fine on Windows 7 In the next few days i will test PocketExport on windows 7.

1.Remind yourself something later.
2.Remind someone else something. For example,y can setup a timed sms message to be sent on your friend’s birthday.
One thing to notice is you only need to setup the scheduled sms from PocketExport, after this,y can disconnect your phone from PC,and your phone will automatically send the sms text at the scheduled time(I assume the device is not rebooted)

To these who don’t know: you can setup scheduled sms from outlook. Or sometime you want to reply a sms later, you can also setup a schedule sms to reply later. 1.From pocketexport’s toolbar, click new button or reply button. 2.From schedule sms box, select “send at time”. That all.very easy, right?pls try:)

Today i got my first Blackberry :8820

It supports wi-fi and blue tooth and GPS but no camera.
Desktop software is not very user friendly compared with Ms
Activesync. It even doesn’t support sync from bluetooth which i think is very useful.
But it’s keyboard is great compared with my windows mobile phone’s touch screen.
Ok,i believe it’s would be perfect if 8820 have a touch screen and camera, but any way,i am still
very satisfied with this device

From what i know,Blackberry use J2ME as their application’s platform.and they have different kind of version. So what i will do next is to find out which version i should use to develop my app. Basic requirement:It should support get sms from inbox/sent box and retrieve call log from system. Also it need to support wifi and blue tooth Any suggestions will be appreciated

There are 2 tools from mobitnt you can use to export the call log and sms to a file
CallStat:callstat is running on windows mobile device.you can use it to export your phone’s sms/call log to csv format or xml format, notice the file is saved in your phone’s memory or a storage card
PocketExport:PocketExport is a outlook add on,which means you need to first have outlook installed on your PC.It can also export sms/call log to a csv/xml file. But this time the file is saved on your PC.
For compatiable issue:i save the csv/xml file in unicode format,so if you want to edit the csv file exported with excel,y need to convert it to UTF8 format first, fortunately y can do it from notepad

PocketExport’s user manual is online now
Before I were thought that PocketExport is very easy to use
so it doesn’t need a user manual.but few weeks before a customer
ask me weather there is a user manual for PocketExport is available,
so i relize that it’s nessary to publish a online user manual.
You can check it out here:PocketExport user manual
