Microsoft says it won鈥檛 limit Windows Mobile handsets now

Sunday, January 18th, 2009

Weeks ago NewYork times said that “Microsoft is limiting the number of phones with the operating system”,
because “the company does not want to have its efforts diluted over too many devices”,that time i just thought that Microsoft is going crazy.
Now it’s turn out that is not true, here is what Microsoft Austria says:
Microsoft is committed to continued innovation of the Windows Mobile platform. Our goal continues to be working together with you to deliver exciting experiences to end users. The implication in The New York Times that Microsoft will limit the number of Windows Mobile devices is not accurate. In an interview with the paper, Todd Peters stated that Microsoft would be focusing on building out the quality of the Windows Mobile experience, investing more in working with its partners to ensure the best hardware-software integration.

The palm pre and it’s webOS

palm pre
Someone says that palm pre may become another IPhone killer, let just wait and see.
Anyway,it’s really very beautiful, you can see more pictures about palm pre in the link below
Palm pre shots
The new phone will use a OS which named webOS,seems it releated with the web,and
Palm officials say that “anyone who knows [Cascading Style Sheets]CSS, HTML and XML will be able to develop for the OS without having to learn any new languages.” ,notice that old applications supported on the Palm Treo and other smart phones are not supported by this new webOS,but it’s possible for third-part developer to develop emulator.

WebOS will run and keep open multiple applications, and lets users instantly flip from one to the other. Notifications or alerts are handled via a scrolling notifications bar at the bottom of the Pre’s touchscreen: You can respond to the notice at once or leave it until later.
